Vài nét về kỹ năng đọc hiểu Hình ảnh hoá - Visualize

Hình ảnh hoá chỉ khả năng tạo ra những hình ảnh trong đầu, dựa trên phần văn bản mà chúng ta đọc được hoặc những từ ngữ mà chúng ta nghe thấy. Đây là phương pháp lý tưởng để dạy trẻ nhỏ đang gặp rắc rối với kỹ năng đọc.

Hình ảnh hoá văn bản khi được đọc hoặc nghe cũng tạo ra mối liên hệ cá nhân giữa người đọc/người nghe với văn bản. Họ có thể hình dung ra nhân vật cụ thể như thế nào và từ đó, gắn bó với câu chuyện hơn. Tác dụng của nó, hẳn cha mẹ đều thấy rõ: sẽ giúp trẻ đọc một cách có ý nghĩa hơn và hứng thú hơn.

Raz Kids mở rộng/Raz Plus dạy trẻ kỹ năng Hình ảnh hoá như thế nào?

Raz Kids mở rộng/Raz Plus cung cấp thư viện sách hơn 3.000 cuốn vô cùng phong phú, trong đó có những cuốn sách đặc biệt phù hợp để dạy trẻ kỹ năng Hình ảnh hóa. Ví dụ cuốn sách In the Mountains - level E - dưới đây.

Với cuốn sách này, cha mẹ có thể nghe con đọc sách, sau đó, đặt các câu hỏi để giúp con thực hành kỹ năng Hình ảnh hóa. Ví dụ, khi đọc xong trang 3, cha mẹ có thể làm mẫu như sau:

Khi mẹ đọc 1 cuốn sách, mẹ thường dừng lại sau một vài trang hay sau khi đọc 1 đoạn mô tả để mường tượng trong đầu hình ảnh về những gì mẹ vừa đọc. Việc này giúp mẹ hiểu nội dung cuốn sách hơn. Ví dụ nhé, khi mẹ đọc trang mô tả bạn sóc chuột này, mẹ ngay lập tức hình dung một bạn thú xinh xắn có cái đuôi vểnh cao, thân mình có những đường sọc chạy dài tới đuôi luôn, giống mấy bạn sóc chuột trong phim Alvin and the Chipmunks mà mẹ con mình từng xem ấy.

Sau đó, với trang tiếp theo, cha mẹ có thể hỏi bé xem con hình dung tới hình ảnh như thế nào. Lúc đầu bé có thể chỉ diễn tả vài chi tiết đơn giản nhưng dần dần, khi đã thuần thục, bức tranh mà bé vẽ nên trong đầu có thể rất đầy đủ, rõ ràng.
